Asus n55sf or n75sf laptops

Thread Starter

Has anyone had a chance to get their hands on one of these (Asus n55sf or n75sf laptops) yet?  Understand these come with a stand alone sub woofer.  I like the specs on the machine but was just hoping to hear from someone with some "hands-on" experic-ence.

 - Does the sub woofer make it a better sounding machien or would external speakers make it better?

 - Have read some "reviews' that say it comes with a matte screen, others say glossy... what's the real deal?

 - Do you think you got your $1250 worth?

 - Do you think it will still be a viable machien in 2 years?

Thanks for any input....

I don't have hands-on experience with the mentioned machines, but taking your queries in general context ...

- Does the sub woofer make it a better sounding machien or would external speakers make it better?
. I prefer external speakers on notebooks, regardless of brands/models winknudge.gif

- Have read some "reviews' that say it comes with a matte screen, others say glossy... what's the real deal?
. Personal preference, matte screen is better (for some) to work in a bright environment. Go to a store and try out the screens for yourself (eyes)

- Do you think it will still be a viable machine in 2 years?
. Both models have good specs, and if you are not the one that runs after new things, then they should last you 5 years plus (if you take care of it winknudge.gif ) Many of my over 5 years machines are still doing what I need, perfectly

- Do you think you got your $1250 worth?
. I wish many of my old machines cost that much sad.gif

cheers ...
