MSI Un-badged MS-16F2-ID1 (similar to MSI GT683R) - any ideas ???

Hi guys,

This is my first time in the forum. Here is the case: I bought MSI Un-badged MS-16F2-ID1 on Ebay.com.au (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/290613331496?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649) which it does not appear the CPU type. I am a bit worried that the laptop is not made by MSI which could be fraudulen hardware but everything seems fine. The guy who sold it, told me that he had it from the States. Anyone has any experiences out of it ?

Nothing to worry about. MSI does offer barebone systems to 3rd party vendors / (private) manufacturers. Problem is that you might not get support direct from MSI but must go back to the one who sells the systems

Give us a personal review on it when you have some time? winknudge.gif

I am sure there is a problem because he does not seem to support for me either but I already got a real bargain for this laptop (same specs like this but better brands cost double or even more) so it's kind of my risk. I just got it about 5 hours play so nothing is wrong so far.

He bought it from USA, you can inquire about where from and contact them direct yourself. Mostly for drivers and software update, seeing that it is a bit far for hardware support winknudge.gif

Make some backup / recovery disks just in case. Never know when you would need it. Good specs though.

it does come with Windows 7 as well as drivers discs so it's pretty good backup. He said I could try to contact MSI to swing the warranty over
