I accidently deleted by Favorites and Desktop and everytime I try to open up Documents Library or Downloads is says, "C:Users\Carlen\Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location." What do I do to get desktop back?

I found the desktop folder in recycle bin, but how do I get it back on the left pane with Favorites, Libraries, Homegroup, Computer, etc?

So you have everything you need - just the missing Desktop Icon on the left pane when you open Windows Explorer?

If so, have you tried searching (Start->search) for the "Users\Carlen\Desktop" on the drive?

cheers ...

Have you tried creating a Desktop shortcut pointing to that "Desktop" folder location?

Sounded to me that somehow your user account is being compromised - might want to create another user profile and then copying the folder (Desktop) over to the new one

cheers ...
