Ah, the drunken haze, don't I know it ***Note: Dell moderators do not condone the excessive consumption of alcohol and will not take responsibility for irresponsible behaviour including erroneous ebay purchases***
Ahem... anyway, the D800 uses the same manufacturer's screens as the i8600, meaning that it will be Samsung, Sharp or Toshiba. You should e-mail the seller and ask, although it will not make any difference really as they have the same specs (although there seems to be a higher Sharp dud ratio).
The screen will probably not fit properly straight onto the i8600 with that lid as the shape is different, I don't think it'll fully close (ask Spiike though, he has done this conversion although he bought the entire D800 palmrest as well).... but I do believe the edges of the palm rest are different to accomodate the lid, hence you'd have problems.
In any case it doesn't really matter, you should be able to completely take apart both and put the new WUXGA into the i8600 lid housing as all the screws, etcetera, inside match up.
