In need of a good cooler for my 18.5" Laptop - Please help

Hey Folks,

I'm looking for a good laptop cooler for my 18.5" notebook. I will be using it on my primary laptop which I have on my desk almost all the time. So, no need for it to be used on my lap.

I have a few requirements:

1.) it has to be quiet.
2.) it has to accomodate an 18.5" laptop.
3.) Cost around $30
4.) USB powered. (with hub wold be nice, but not necessary).

Any help is much appreciated!

Cheers,

grecinos

Maybe the first few days or week, once it gathers dust it will make some noise, but not louder than my other devices in the proximity laugh4.gif

Just thought I'd follow up on this thread...

I got the cooler today from Amazon. The first thing I noticed was that it was smaller than I expected. The specs on Amazon says that the cooler is 19" wide. It's actually less than 15". Nevertheless, I decided to give it a try. I've been using it for the past 4 to 5 hours and here are my observations. In terms of size, my laptop is much wider, but it fits nicely on the cooler. The rubber pads on the top of the cooler keep the laptop firmly gripped. While working on my computer, doing Web Development, the fans inside the computer remained at the lowest setting. Very rarely did it go higher. The cooler itself is very very quiet, and I like that alot! The LED's are neat, but I was using the laptop during the day, so I could hardly tell they were on (I ended up turning them off for now). I'm going to play Star Craft 2 tonight and see what happens when the computer gets pushed to its limit. Wish me luck! banana.gif
