does adding external graphic card make any game run smoother ? and what is the price of nvidia 320m ?
 
my notebook specs
intel core i3 380m 2.53 ghz
4 gb ram           640 gb hdd
intel hd graphics ?
does any game run in my pc without upgrading ?(like assasin creed2)
 
what can i do to enhance gaming performance?

Try updating the comp with latest Intel graphic driver. They have improved for some good gaming experience- That core-i3 might hold you back big time

And no, external card won't do you any good on notebooks for gaming
