Tower upgrading on a budget

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

I am looking to upgrade my tower on a $500-$800 budget. I'm a little out of touch with what's new on the market and wondering if I can use any of these parts in the upgrade.

Recommendations for a gaming tower within budget would also be a big help.

Here's my current specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz

Asus Crosshair AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP

Corsair XMS2 Xtreme Performance TwinX Matched 4 GB : 4 x 1 GB

BFG 8800 GTX

WD Caviar 250GB 7200 RPM HDD

Thermaltake Toughpower 850W PSU

Turtle Beach Montego DDL sound card

Antec 900 case

I'd like to turn the tower into a htpc if nothing is salvageable. Any htpc upgrades, such as cases that could fit this build, are appreciated as well.
