I don't want to make another mistake so I am asking for help here because if figure someone here knows all these things and I am so confused.
I had purchased a tooo expensive dell 17 laptop that I rarely used so recently felt good in giving it to my daughter who desparately needed a laptop. In the interim and finally thinking about the expense of something I use four to six times a year, I need help.
I had looked at Toshiba mini thinking it would be okay, I only need to have word 2003 on it, Ring central to send faxes and then download two different hospital programs for accessing their mainframe for work. BUT that was 279.00
I then was steered toward the Lenovo X1203 059622 but there are several models like a u or er or something, but on YOUTUBE it got great reviews and for not much more than a mini, go for the 11.6 with but with 4 gb and 320 hdd and could still stay in a range for a computer I won't use but maybe 3 to 6 times per year.
What I won't use it for may help - I don't do streaming videos, pictures, music, music videos, gaming (okay possibly bookworm)...that type of thing.
What I will need it for...
wireless access when on the road
word processing for word documents (transcription)
a system I can access hospital mainframe with (these are programs downloaded easy enough) but can still function at some speed.
internet surfing, researching, google medical terms, like that.
faxing...I use Ring Central for faxing to clients
WHAT I WANT...
very lightweight...my last one was 10 pounds and hard to lug around especially through airports, through hotels, etc, so very light weight
affordable....I don't want to spend more than possibly 400 or 500 because it is not a computer I will use for more than traveling.
