My grandson and daughter were trying to be so wonderfully kind and loving. I have looked at the Duo off and on the past year. I had written in another post about my expensive mistake with another laptop that I gave to my daughter. I still need a travel computer so she got together with my grandson to suprise me with the Duo. They were told by the guy at Tiger Direct where it was purchased that I would be able to put Microsoft office 2003 on the system. When I just went to ask at Dell, they said no, I could not. That I would have to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. I could delete off the Microsoft Office 2010 starter and put in 2003. Then they said, nope they were wrong and I couldnt. Then said but I could try to buy the upgrade and try it.
I am so confused. I need to use Microsoft Office 2003 for the templates of my clients when I am on the road. I am either using their template or signing onto the hospital to work. I just need to know if I can take off Microsoft Office 2010 and use install Microsoft Office 2003 onto this Duo? I am afraid they may have gotten a really good price on something I can't use and it will hurt their feelings.
I had my mind all wrapped around the Lenovox120e and they came home tonight with this.
It has windows 7 preimum. So the first guy at Dell said I would need to upgrade to 7 professional, but then said no because it was too limited.
I AM LOST.....
thank you so much for any information.
