AVerMedia compatible software: Express Mini

I'm looking (with no success) for alternatives to their lame 'Media Center" software for a 'Express Mini' Laptop express slot tuner.

I tried SageTV, but the software doesn't recognize the tuner (so far). Other than M$ MCE which I have no intention of using, what else would work here?

Actually there are. NextPVR is one, but the lack of user control panel or floating bar w/o doing a right click and no easy direct channel access or a keyboard accessible up/down is a killer.

Could we get some screen shot from you? Have also tried Media Portal?

Screen shot of what?? I returned the card. I'm going to try to get the Hauppauge HVR1500 card to work.
No on media Portal.
