Is it worth putting a new battery in my Acer Aspire 5535??

Hello all,

Ok, Acer Aspire 5535 running Win 7. Battery is currently lasting just less then 1 hour in power saver mode with minimal usage. I can't remember how long it was lasting when I first bought it a couple of years ago.

Would a new battery improve life?

Are there any replacement battery's out there that last a lot longer than the original ones or is the laptop limited to the same standard battery?

Thanks,

Karl

What are the specs of your current battery? And sure, new battery would last longer than a 2 years old battery.

It depends on what you are doing in order to see if it makes sense to replace the battery. I don't use battery more than one hours unplugged, so I am fine with my current 50min battery performance smile.gif

Specs are: AS07A31, 10.8V, 4400mAh/47.5Wh, Sanyo Lith Ion.

I'd like to be able to take it away from home and not have to plug it everywhere I go.

Do you know any good sites to buy one from?

Cheers,

Karl.

This one gives you 56Whr. Use it and search for some more on the net. I have no preferred sellers as far as battery concerns, as long as the warranty and after-sales support are good
