Model is Acer 1640z

sticker says 1642z WLMI

I am missing the following drivrs, i have searched high and low to find them online and no luck unless they have some secret name that i am not aware of. I may be bald soooooon from this.

Network Controller driver

PCI Device Driver

Unknow Device driver (I know that one really helps, but that is what it really says)

I have xp pro that i just fresh reinstalled on my computer, my wireless internet is not working so i can't just let the computer do it's thing, it will not recognize the ethernet cord to find them ( I have both available for the computer)

It would be great if someone could point me in the right direction as to what i am doing- I am getting very frustrated, been working on this for several hours today.

Thanks for any help you can offer,

Nothing from here?

http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_1640z.html

Make sure that you choose the correct driver for the wireless device (Atheros or Intel but not both)

Thanks for the help, i think i was on that page before but i just gave up. This time i downloaded every driver that was listed and burned them to a cd. Put that cd into the lap top and just started installing everything one at a time, did the shutdown after every one that it said i had to shut down on. There were a couple that would not install for some reason, but something in there was the majic bullet. Now i have internet and all the ?? have went away. Now if i could just everything back to the righ version my life would be complete. I am turning it over to my computer guy- probably should have done that in the first place, but live and learn

Thanks again for the help, cin
