Dell XPS L502x vs Asus N55SF

Hello,

 

I would like to buy a new notebook and I found the following options in the price range I want:

 

1. Dell XPS L502X

- I7 2630

- 15" FullHD Display

- 4GB RAM 1333

- 7200rpm HDD

- Nvidia GT 540 2 GB

Price: ~1000 EUR

 

2. Asus N55SF

- I7 2630

- 15" FullHD Display

- 4GB RAM 133

- 5400 rpm HDD

- Nvidia GT 555 2GB

Price ~920 EUR

 

I have searched on the internet and it seems that GT 555 is better than GT 540. What I do not know is which is better really from the warranty and the performance point of view.

 

I would like this laptop to work for the next 2 year.

 

I will use it for programming (the Full HD is OK for reading a lot of text?) and graphic rendering.

Not so much of price difference between the 2, and they would do fine with what you want. Deciding factor would be which has the best after-sale support and warranty. I see that you quote €, so it all boils down to the support since the warranty should be the same on both machines.

Thank you very much for the reply. It seems Dell has a 3 year warranty so I think I will go with that.
