New Purchase Help: HP dv6t vs dv6z qe

Thread Starter

I'm trying to choose between these 2 laptops. I'll be using it for gaming (Skyrim, Starcraft 2, Arkham City, etc.) but I don't need to play on highest settings, medium will do fine. I mainly need something that will not lag. Budget is $800. I can't afford to upgrade to the i7 quadcore so I'm wondering if the i5 below with the 6770 will outperform the AMD and the 6750 for gaming.

Both models are $775. If you have any advice that will still keep me under $800 I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice.

Did you vote that way because of the i5 or the GPU? Or the combination?

Anyone else care to weigh in??
