Fn Key Help on Satellite E300

Thread Starter

Hi, recently I have bought a Satellite E300 laptop, and found out that the Fn keys for F1-F12 are inverted.

Does anyone have any clue how to revert this back?

After searching the web for solutions i found out that none worked
- There is no scroll/num lock on the keyboard

- There is no way to disable this on BIOS (I cant seem to find any)

- F11 key controls the volume

It gets quite irritating after awhile because pressing F1 causes the internet browser to run and I have to use Fn-F1 instead.

Hope someone has the solution to this problem. :)

This is right of the bag? A feature of the model or something just got messed up?

I'm not sure... But I think its built this way, with no num/scroll lock and inverted Fn keys...

No ideas? Hahaha..

If it's built that way the only thing you can do is using some sort of Key Mapping software to tweak them. Or just learn how to get used to it winknudge.gif

Key mapping? I'm not sure if it's possible cause F1 key is still mapped as F1. I'll go check it out. Thanks :)

Hope someone has the solution :x

Alright, finally got it done by mapping F1 key to F1. It's only F1 but ah well, better than nothing. :)

Thank you very much!
