acer aspire 5920g keyboard ribbon problem

Hi All, removed the keyboard and pulled the ribbon out without releasing the plastic clip have cleaned the keyboard how do i get the ribbon back in,the ribbon fits in the motherboard put cannot get the plastic clip to hold the ribbon,is the clip attached to the ribbon permanent because this one is not,your help please

The clip should be part of the connector on the motherboard. Is it falling off? Can you give us a pic?

From what I gather..the plastic ciip on the end of the keyboard ribbon is detached from the ribbon..the OP didnt release the clip before trying to remove thekeyboard

Your best bet is to find a broken 5920g with the clip still on the board and using the clip itself. That clip alone is very very hard to come by, unless you have a buddy working with Acer somewhere winknudge.gif
