hi

i have been at my desk for the last 6 hours trying to get my sony vaio ee3eoe to conect to a wireless dongle,

i picked up a used sony vaio last week and got it home and it was great, super fast (6gb ram) no real issues, then my home internet got cut off so i went and got a tmobile wireless dongle,

the dongle works fine in my other 2 laptops but for some reason i cant install it on the sony, it says my dongle is not conected, i have been reading and people are saying my vmware needs to be uninstalled?? i also have tryed to find out about vmware but nobody talks english on these sites its all computer jargon that i do not understand, also somebody said its easy to do even a monkey can do it so i guess im beneath a monkey!! lol

i think the fella i got the sony vaio off removed some programs as i can find any sony programs at all in my laptop, my hp 6735s has hp programs and also if i hit f11 on the hp it goes straight to factory reset but the sony is a nightmere as i have no disc so no way of reseting it back to factory settings.

what would be my cheapest bet? just to buy a windows 7 disc and install fresh o/p system? i cant even update my sony as i cant get it to run on the dongle and my main internet is off

i guess i need to start with the vmware, but also i do not understand computer talk, i do not know what vmware is?

thanks for your time and any help would be great

You don't need to buy Windows 7 if you already have the COA key underneath your notebook. Search for Windows ISO download, pick the version that goes with your COA key.

I guess you just have to visit a friend and use her/his internet for this step.

cheers ...
