1. doesn't matter aslong as it satisfies #2

2. reliability, price, performance.

1. Crucial or Intel
2. Stability and price

I will first look at Samsung. They seem to have taken a big step in quality of their product. Performance is of most importance. Brand and price are not terribly important. Assuming you are going to keep the system for a few years, a few hundred dollars is of no importance.

1. Intel

2. Performance

Fingers crossed!

Well my two bytes worth,

1. The brand I have chosen when it comes to a Reliablie Brand of SSD;:

Intel would be my Pick.

2. What am I looking for:
Reliability..... then Stability and finally Good Performance.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

1.) OCZ seems to have the edge as of now in my view.
2.) Reliability primarily. Then price-to-performance ratio.

1. Either Crucial or Intel, although based on price, I would also consider Samsung

2. I would choose first and foremost on capacity versus cost, however, reliability based on brand reputation would sway my decision in a close call.

I seek a combination of all 3 factors. Brand is important as it can be indicative of product reliability.

1. OCZ (My Vertex 3 is working great for me)
2. Price and Performance, I don't care about brand at all.

1.Which brand SSD : OCZ or Crucial. Mainly because I have had generally good experience with those vendors products in multiple formats.

2.look for : Reliability first, Brand and Price next, Performance last (assuming decent performance, which most modern chips should all be able to deliver).

Thanks for this.
Best, and,
Happy Holydays/Holidays.

1: OCZ. From my research, they seem to be in the SSD business for quite a while and have a large reputable market.

2: A lot of characteristics are important to me. Ranging from Price to Reliability, but what brings it in for me is the Read and Write speeds. Regardless of the size of the drive, I will be using it for speed, not storage. And at the same time, I wont have any important data on it, only program files and the operating system, which in turn means stability isn't a huge issue.

Thanks,
Shox

I am open to any brand. I did purchase a Plextor PX-M2 128 gb recently.

I first base my purchase on reviews that are on this forum or the on-line retailers, new egg, amazon ect... Then I take the reviews with a grain of salt and look at price and performance. I do not look at the cheapest but something that will fit my wallet and do what I except the drive to do.

1.Which brand SSD are you considering for your next upgrade? Intel, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, Patriot Memory, Samsung, or other?

I am considering OCZ, Crucial, or Patriot Memory. Whichever has the best price at the best capacity and is most reliable.

2.What do you look for when selecting an SSD? Price, Performance, Brand - or a combination of these elements?

I look for a combination of features. Price, Performance, and Capacity from a reliable manufacturer. I don't simply buy on brand alone, I also check available feedback along with my own experience with the brands.

I would consider Intel or OCZ.

I'll rank these because they're all important factors. a) performance, b) price, c) brand.

1.Which brand SSD are you considering for your next upgrade?
Intel, because it's a brand I trust into. The data saved in the HD is more important than the HD itself hence the need of a trusted manufacturer. Although won't buy an SSD for now because of their high price

2.What do you look for when selecting an SSD?
First factor is price, because they are way too expensive at the moment so can't afford them. Second factor is brand, for the reasons explained in the first question, and third factor is performance, because SSD's already perform quite well in comparison to classic HDDs.

Official Answer 1. OCZ and Crucial, for Stability and personal knowledge of both producing satisfying results.

Official Answer 2. I look for products I have had personal success with or those that come from a well established company.Price is always secondary to performance and longevity.

1. I will always stick to Intel brand SSD's. My current 320 model and X-25M are both functioning perfect and have great software utilities available for them.

2. I look for reliability and stability most when choosing an SSD
