2. Price vs performance -

Thanks

I am a fan of Intel and would quite likely purchase an upgrade to SSD from them.

I shop with blended criteria. I am looking for performance and reliability, which I associate with quality, but price is important. Price is not the prominant criteria, it is a blended matter. I look for a quality/price ratio ... the higher the better.

1. Corsair
2. Reliability/Stability

1. Any SSD brand with SandForce Driven™ logo is good enough for me.
2. Performance, Form Factor , Host Interface and Storage-Price Ratio

Host interface is very important to me as it determine the bandwidth, such as PCI Express or Serial ATA, etc.

Merry christmas and good luck to all.

My requirement is stability of firmware. I have had samsung, OCZ, Corsair and Intel SSD's.

Intel is the only one that keeps the firmware stable and consistent.

Thanks.

1. Intel

2. Performance is number 1
1. Samsung (this is likely to change if I research it further)

2. Reliability and performance vs cost. It is a balance of all 3.
I usually spend a few days researching the available recommendations and part with my money begrudgingly.

Which brand SSD are you considering for your next upgrade? Intel, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, Patriot Memory, Samsung, or other?

If cost wasn't a concern, I would go with Intel for reliability.  I've had the best luck with them for CPU/chipset combos.

What do you look for when selecting an SSD? Price, Performance, Brand - or a combination of these elements?

Price, performance and reliability are my criteria.  I'm always looking for the best bang for the buck, not necessarily the absolute fastest widget on the market.

1. I'm considering Intel, Corsair or Samsung.

2. Price and Brand--primarily reputation for reliability.

Thanks for the contest.

1. All of my motherboards and chips are intel, but I usually go Kingston for memory. I recently looked into a Samsung SSD when it went on sale, but couldn't justify even the reduced cost. TLDR version: brand isn't all that important for my drives, but it is for other components.

2. I look for a combination of price and performance, and price governs if I'm forced to choose.

1 Intel
2 Reliability is paramount, id rather have a slightly slower drive that doesn't die.

1. Brand of SSD I'm considering: OCZ

2. What am I looking for: Reliability then Performance.

1. I've heard great things about the Intel drives, so I'd go for that for my next purchase.

2. Definitely a combination. Price is still the tipping point right now - I'd like to ultimately see SSDs close to $1/Gb. Next is brand reputation, which drives performance by and large.
