i would have to say intel, since i have always used their products, and enjoy them.

i look mostly for price and performance (as well as user reviews! =D )

1. I've been considering OCZ but contemplating over SanDisk as well.
2. I look heavily at read and write speeds. Storage as a good second factor.

Wining an Intel 320 series would definitely be an amazing New Year's gift!

1.Which brand SSD are you considering for your next upgrade? Intel, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, Patriot Memory, Samsung, or other?

  - I am definitely looking for a SSD currently, and of the brands I am most strongly leaning towards Intel, Samsung, or Crucial. Intel and Samsung have the benefit of producing both their own nand and controller in-house, so I feel that gives them a big edge on reliability. I throw crucial in there just because it is a solid brand and the M4's have great reviews.

2.What do you look for when selecting an SSD? Price, Performance, Brand - or a combination of these elements?

  - Considering I just built a new computer from Black Friday/Cyber Monday purchases, I would say performance is most important since I have a new motherboard that supports Sata III 6mbps connections. Next i would rate reliability because it has been a problem with certain brands/models (I'm looking at you OCZ gen2). Price is definitely important for me, but I would rather wait for a high performance drive that goes on sale than buy a budget drive and sacrifice quality.

1. I'd probably go with Intel if I had the money. More reasonably, Crucial or Samsung would be my choice.

2. Performance.

I bought a Crucial and have been happy with that. However, I have a friend at Intel and he talks about all the great features Intel puts in their SSD's so I would seriously consider that for my next one.

Of course all play a big factor in the decision. Performance has to be first, followed by price and brand second.

1) Samsung
2) I usually always look for the best bang for my buck when it comes to computer components. Don't like spending double the price for an item when I don't get double the speed of another item smile.gif

1. Intel - great feature set, great performance, great reviews and reliability.
2. Reliability and performance a close second.

1 OCZ
2 Performance (technically, this includes reliability)

1. Kingston
2. Value ($/GB), reliability

1. I'm usually an OCZ kinda guy. Whenever I'm buying computers they tend to have the lowest price for the specs.

2. which is really why this is one question, It's all about the performance but a step below the high cost premium of a new technology. I shop with baseline spec needs and see what marginal price increase gives me the most performance increase.

1. not decided yet.

2. price, performance, reliability, as long as the brand is solid.
