1. Which brand SSD are you considering for your next upgrade? Intel, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, Patriot Memory, Samsung, or other?

Intel / OCZ - but will always research all brands at purchase time.

2. What do you look for when selecting an SSD? Price, Performance, Brand - or a combination of these elements?

Combination: Primarily combo of price/performance with brand reliability record a guiding factor.

1.  Intel obviously, since i'm gonna win this one.

2. Mostly performance.  No use in buying something if it doesn't do what it's supposed too.  But then also the best brands tend to give the best performance.

1. I am considering Intel, Samsung, and ADATA msotly.
2. I look for reliability and performance (price is less of a concern but still a concern).
Thanks for the contest.

1. OCZ (I already have both Intel and OCZ Vertex 3 120GB)

2. Performance and reliability.

1. Based on reviews, I would go with OCZ for a flash drive. That could change based on updated reviews.

2. I look of the following - in order:

  • Reliablitly
  • Performance
  • Size
  • Price

1) Intel
2) Combination (price/performance)

(1. detailed answer would be comparing Intel, OCZ and Samsung)
(2. detailed answer would be that as others have stated, reliability and durability is an important factor, and for me especially, the price is a crucial factor. SSD's are not cheap. Yes they're fast but the storage offered is minisule in today's terms - yes I know the primary purpose for these drives is for an OS and if you can afford to spend a few hundred on a drive just for that, good for you)

1) Intel
2) mainly price, combined with performance & reliability

My next SSD will be my first, so based on research and reviews I would probably go with Intel

1. Intel
2. Reliability is always the most important consideration for me followed closely and equally by price and performance.

Which brand SSD are you considering for your next upgrade? Intel, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, Patriot Memory, Samsung, or other?

I have experience with OCZ memory and I know they are a great company, they have got excellent customer support, i would most likely go with them.

What do you look for when selecting an SSD? Price, Performance, Brand - or a combination of these elements?
With prices as high as they are for SSD's, price to performance ratio is very important for me, I like a good compromise between storage capacity and price. Anything that is faster then an old magnetic harddrive works for my needs!

1. Crucial
2. Performance and reliability. Actually value

On my next SSD purchase, I would consider just about any of them, but I guess I prefer OCZ and Intel.
When selecting an SSD (I have two of them), I look for price and performance. There must be a balance. Then, in third place I look for brand. In all cases though, I do my homework and check out the reviews and specs.

1.Which brand SSD are you considering for your next upgrade? Intel, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, Patriot Memory, Samsung, or other?

If I win, Intel. Otherwise, I would get a Crucial M4.

2.What do you look for when selecting an SSD? Price, Performance, Brand - or a combination of these elements?

Basically, a combination of those three elements. But if the tag price is a bit lower, that would help. smile.gif

First, thank you for putting on this contest.

1. Which brand SSD are you considering for your next upgrade? Intel, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, Patriot Memory, Samsung, or other?
A: I was looking at Crucial and/or OCZ

2. What do you look for when selecting an SSD? Price, Performance, Brand - or a combination of these elements?
A: All aspects above are considered. Top priority is reliability, followed by price then performance. Brand is only a consideration for warranty concerns.

Thanks

1. Intel, then OCZ.
2. Reliability, price, then performance.

Thinking about a Patriot. I tend to look at price and reviews. That's why this site is so valuable.
