1. I think my next brand of SSD will be the Corsair variant. The Corsair Force Series 3 120GB is lookin pretty sweet and from a few friends experiences with these SSD's they are pretty stable and FAST, FAST!

2. What I look for in an SSD is performance after the drive has been used for a while, no degradation. As well as how the SSD performs with data on the SSD, 100GB used out of 120GB. The controller is also something that I look for, as we all know the Sandforce controllers are VERY problematic in some cases. But I think the guys upstairs have finally taken control of the controller for the majority of the users.

Thanks guys for a great giveaway.

1) Intel. I've been very happy with the X25-M's I've sold clients and they haven't had any complaints or RMAs yet. I haven't tried any of the newer SSDs.

2) Reliability, followed by performance, but reliability and ease of support more than anything (firmware updates, technical support, warranty, etc.).

I think that Intel is the better buy. I have had nothing but soild performance from them. I would rather have a dependable product than be unsure.

1.Which brand SSD are you considering for your next upgrade? Intel, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, Patriot Memory, Samsung, or other?

OCZ. Have a 120GB Vertex 3 MIOPS Edition and a 240GB RevoDrive 3 X2 and have been extremely happy with both. Currently Windows is installed on the RevoDrive and install programs on the Vertex 3. Looking to pick up a 2nd Vertex 3 to RAID with the other..

2.What do you look for when selecting an SSD? Price, Performance, Brand - or a combination of these elements?

Performance and how much patience I have to save up for what I want. I do regular back-ups so if something crashes losing data isn't too big of an issue.
1.5GB/sec is all I have to say laughing.gif

I would consider Intel, OCZ, and at the moment I actually purchase I will read all the latest reviews to make a decision.

I look at a combination of all when considering a purchase.
