URGENT!!!!!!! Acer Aspire AS5733 Windows XP

Hello, im thinking about purchasing a Acer aspire 5733 laptop tomorrow with 6gb ram, 500gb hd with a 2.40ghz processor, my question is can that laptop run Windows Xp? ive looked everywhere and that question isnt asked, i understand windows 7 is popular but i really prefer Xp, so can the laptop have it? and also if it can where can i get the XP drivers from?

Why would you want to run XP on a system that has a 6GB ram?

Sure, if you dig hard enough to the devices then you propably can find some decent XP drivers for them, providing of course that the devices manufacturers are still supporting with some old version somewhere.

i just like the ''breathing'' space haha, and where would be the best place to get the drivers from?

Direct from devices manufacturers, sure bet to get the "xp" drivers, if they have them. Why don't you take advantage of Windows 7 VM and install XP there just to "breath" space first? That way if it does not work out, you still have a running system winknudge.gif

Just bought one,waiting for it to be delivered,Hope it not like my friends Compaq CQ56,where other OS's are locked out in the BIOS!(BIOS has a greyed out area that is inaccessable and has OS:Win 7 written there) Cannot be changed! Don't know if a BIOS update will help in this regard.

Yes, U can install XP on your laptop. I have dell studio 15 i have dual boot system, at the starting when i buy my laptop, I first installed windows XP on my laptop & unable to find the driver for it.

I take the technical help for Driver Updates for windows XP from the iGennie technical services.

I donot know how but there technicians install all driver to my laptop. Thanks to igennie...
