Unable to download files from Internet Explorer 9 - Please help

Hi folks,

I've been having a problem with my laptop for the past month or so. For some reason, when I try and download a file using IE 9, iti says the file "couldn't be downloaded". This happens after the download reaches 100%. I've updated my OS using Windows Update, but the problem still persists. I can download using any other browser, just not from IE sad.gif... Does anyone have suggestions?

TIA,

grecinos

Try disabling accelerators within IE9 and review its download manager

Thanks for the response. I found a round-about solution. I was using IE 32-bit. When I use IE 64-bit, I am able to download. So, as long as I use IE 64-bit, I'll be ok.

The fix is here from Microsoft. Turn off "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" and this will begin working. See below KB Article.
