Repairs to motherboard

I would appreciate direction on where to find a component level schematic for an, ASUS G51V notebook. I have it apart and can't distinguish what the "fried" component is; resistor, diode or other type of semiconductor.

How about uploading a pic for us? Schematics are pretty hard to come by, especially for ASUS

What are the exact symptoms of this 'dead' laptop...? Most are graphic related or DC jack problems which are fixable... Component level fixes on a laptop board are nigh on impossible due to a) getting heat to the correct area with destroying the motherboard and b) not destroying surrounding components due to the amount squashed into a tight space (try this on a USB port replacement)...
