Qhn, I have been out of the processor news for a while now. I'm wondering if this will be as decent as the low voltage core i pocessors.
Nope. Atom tech is completely separate from Core i tech, and is nowhere near as powerful.

That's kind of what I figured, but was still curious all the same. I did read something about the graphics being a bit stronger though, which I guess is encouraging.

The D2700 still is very under-performed. Intel is pushing out the D2800 that would be a true integrated chip, especially in regard to graphic performance and 64-bits support

Hi ALL

I have a

Asus VX6S and love this notebook BUT have one issue that I need some advise on.

For some reason will not connect to my Samsung LED 55" TV or my HP 26" Monitor with the HDMi out put.

Both the TV and the monitors flash red lines , I can see the loading screen in the red lines but never connects then the monitor goes to sleep or the TV disconnects to that input.

I returned the VX6S back to Scan they tested it and said no faults found and charged me £35 to send it back.

I've purchased new HDMi cable, shut the notebook down, connect the HDMi cable to the display device then to the notebook, boot up still will not connect.

When the HDMi cable is connected the second display device does connect show up in the display devices in the AMD  Catalyst Control.

I've tried to set the screen res manually no difference.

I tried to switch between the outputs by pressing Fn+F8 still nothing also pressing windows key + P .. no difference either..

Any ideas guys?

Cheers

Have you looked in the AMD Catalyst options and see if there are any hidden devices?

OK Think i've spotted something.. The refresh rate is showing 70Hz for the monitor BUT it should be 60Hz

Also when I connected to my TV the same thing showed it as 70hz.

I cant seem to change that setting in the notebook for the second monitor?

Any thoughts ?

Cant change screen refresh rate in notebook always stays on 70Hz?

Cant change the refresh rate defaults to 70Hz in the notebook external monitor settings.

Does it work if you set the external screen to the same resolution as the notebook screen?

Hi

NO doesn't make a difference as it reverts back to the original res of 1920 X 1080 (cant seem to change the res of the attached monitor)
