T60 Hard Drive Replacement Options?

Just Picked up a T60 XP Pro WIndows machine I bought it knowing it had a bad HD. Though I was able to recover the whole system- it has a haunting bad defrag results so my days are numbered-

I was thinking a 64-120 SSD but I get the impression I wouldn't get all the performance being I'm not running Windows 7?

Anyway what guidelines do I need to stay with for a replacement- Just Sata 2.5 in a 7200 for speed?

All sata connections are the same?


Don't want to make a common un thought of mistake - Thinking 120 gig & up-

I was thinking of this until I saw the high failure rate! - Samsung Storage Capacity: 640 GB
