Hi, please could you recommend laptops on which xp can be installed.
I have a Dell Studio 1558 but am unable to install xp on it.
Thanks & regards.
You should be able to install XP on pretty any systems, but getting 100% performance from them is another story. And of course, you will be responsible for chasing down the necessary drivers yourself

Thanks Qhn, I tried unsuccessfully on 1558, what I meant is any of the new laptops come with xp drivers support ?
You must overcome the driver for the hard drive first since XP does not support AHCI correctly on SATA (or SSD) drives. If the BIOS support turning off AHCI support or IDE support then use the feature before installing XP. If not you need to slip-stream hard drive driver onto the XP installation disk
Unless it is stated by manufacturers, current notebook models will not support XP off the bag. You are alone responsible for devices drivers.
