Need copy of driver support disc for G72G

Hey everyone, I picked up a nasty virus on my G72G and decided to just do a fresh install of Windows 7. I bought the computer used and I thought it came with all of the discs required, but it turns out I only have the operating system recovery DVD and not the driver support CD that is needed to properly complete the install. Does anyone have a copy of it that they can copy and email or mail to me? I'll put in a few bucks if it has to be mailed. I'm looking for an exact copy of the original support disc. I'd really appreciate your help! Thanks!

If you aleady have the OS installation CD, then just pick up the drivers and apps from ASUS support for your model.

I could do that but the operating system seems to be running in a half installed manor. I get strange fatal error alerts and command prompts flashing on the screen. It's like the computer is stuck trying to finalize the OS installation but it can't because it's missing pieces.

Is this a clean OS installation disk? Search the net for Windows ISO download version - it's legal - and create yourself a clean installation disk. Or use a 3rd party free format tool to format the drive and try again

No, I wish it was though. It's the original disc that came from Asus with the laptop. I do have a regular copy of Windows 7 that I could install and then get the drivers from Asus, but I'd rather not use up that product key if I already have an operating system that came with the laptop.

You can try some software to extract the current key and save it for whatever. But a clean install with the notebook own COA key is the best approach to get your system back up and running cleanly. Who knows, may be using some dodgy software could have ruined it
