hey guys,

im looking to buy a laptop, but dont have much to spend. used for just surfing the net, youtube, a bit of online gaming.

here is where i will most likely buy one from. looking to spend under $500, but the less the better. so out of these which do you recomend or the best value for money? or are they all useless? haha

cheers!

Why don't you give us a bit more specific of system specification that you expect from $500 machines. Link removed due to non-specific-look-more-like-spam

thats the problem i guess, i dont know enough about then to know what is good.

obviously the more ram you have the better it will be.

but then theres stuff like ghz and dual core, quad core.. which for all the higher the better right?

but then what would be better for example a normal cpu, would it be called single core? going at 2.13 ghz or a dual core at say 1.3ghz?

would these sort laptops be adequate for what i mentioned previously..or are they useless?

if that made any sense whatsoevr

the desktop im using is "intel (r) core (tm)2 quad cpu q8300 @2.5ghz"

these sort of cheap laptops would be a hell of a lot slower right?

Can't really compare laptop and desktop winknudge.gif

A core i5 with an Intel HD4500 integrated graphic card would suit you fine (performance from what you described and price tag). The rest is pretty much brand preference.
