Getting A New Gaming Laptop - Need Suggestions

Thread Starter

I guess the title is pretty explanatory, in the next month or so I plan on buying a new laptop which I'll mainly be using it for gaming (I do need it to run the newest games, can't wait for diablo 3).

I'm still debating between getting the Intel Core i7-990x 3.46Ghz SIX CORE or the Intel Core i7-980 3.33Ghz processor, I've been reading reviews on both but still need more feedback, the price difference is pretty consistent and I'm not sure it's worth it. Also, I'm considering getting a primary SSD  and then have two more hdd's for storage, so I need to be able to put up to 3 hard disks in the new laptop. My budget for this purchase is somewhere around 5000-5500$ and also I'd like a 14" just because it's lighter and easier to carry around. Any configuration you can recommend is great (when it comes to graphics cards I'm clueless). Stores suggestions are also welcomed, maybe stores that specialize in selling gaming laptops? So far I've been recommended Horize but I'm still asking around, maybe someone has some more experience with that.

Thanks!

Take a look at the Clevo P150HM. Apart from multi disks, this comp should do pretty much what you want as far as gaming concerns

Thanks so much for your suggestion, I've actually never heard of Clevo before, have you ever bought from them, everything went smoothly? That laptop does look pretty awesome.

I own and use many Clevo in the past - solid machines. You might not hear about Clevo in USA much due to Sager (Clevo rebranded), but now it seems that Clevo is ready to push its own name stateside.

cheers ...
