Acer 5560G-sb448 6650m??? on my laptop box it says HD 6740g2....!???

hey guys 

 

I have bought this laptop after getting the sb413 defective with dead pixels i decided to get the sb448 (higher end) 

 

I have the A-8 3500m Dual graphic AMD RADEON 6740g2....

 

but when i installed the drivers

 

on my Device manager it says i have a 6500m ??????? 

 

is that normal??? 

 

i thought the 6500m was lower than the 6740g2... and that on my specs chart it states i have a G2.... weird.

What it means is the base GPU chip - normal

It means that the 6740G2 belongs to the 6000G2 series - which is a combination of a integrated AMD Radeon HD 6xxxG APU processor graphics card and a dedicated entry level AMD Radeon HD 6650M (or 6500M) graphics card in CrossFire combination.

The "G2" marking in itself is not a graphic card.
