Toshiba M50 MX2 Black Screen

I have a Toshiba Satellite M50 MX2 recently Black Screen. I do a lot of reserach online trying to fix the black screen problem but no luck.

When I turn the computer on it only shows " In Touch with Toshiba "  and the botton I can read F2 or F12 there. I did insert my system recovery disk in trying to reinstall  the window xp again but nothing happen and still black screen. When Insert the system recovery disk in I can hear the disk player running.

Sorry for my late reply. I have been away out from the country. No I did try to hook up with my external tv it did not work still black screen. Is that my hard drive problem? If so can get the hd from our local computer store? The reason I need to fix this computer is I can hook up to my Sony projection tv with the svideo. Please advice.

You can try re-seat ram modules and hard drive, but I have the feeling that the board is failing - may be try baking it.
