Acer Aspire 5315 overheating

Thread Starter

Hello, I recently upgraded my Acer Aspire 5315 from Windows Vista to Windows 7. I noticed that the fan wasn't working and it was over heating. But then I installed the epower management and it fixed it. But now, when I close the lid and it goes into sleep mode, when I wake it up, the fan won't work. It won't until I restart. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

never did like/trust the sleep/hibernating feature...my suggestion would be to take the extra 15 secs and power down

laugh4.gif I usually hear about fan not stopping working after sleep mode.

Have you checked for any BIOS update?
