won't power up

hi
Advent Roma 3001 wont power up, it used too as i think there was some life left in the battery (blue power light would come on) but would shut down after about 20sec. now theres no life in the battery. i bought a new power supply but i still think it's not getting power to charge the battery..

would it be the power connector to the motherboard, it looks ok..

any ideas whats wrong

i think this model is a re-badged ECS I50IL1

Give the cold restart a try: remove battery, remove ac adpater, press down power button for 30-40secs, connect ac adapter and try again

I have tried what you suggested to no avail, blue light won't come on now as there's no life in the battery.. I'm sure it's not getting power as it started when there was power in the battery, be it only for 10-20 seconds.

any more ideas

Would the battery be charging with the new ac adapter? Try with another battery as well?

But if you are sure that the ac adapter is working and yet cannot start, there is a remote chance that the board is failing.
