Heat Up issues with Asus G51VX RX-05

Thread Starter

Hi,

I own a Asus ROG series G51VX RX-05 laptop. I have been using it for almost 2years now. It has given me flawless performance till date. I use it mostly for Counter-Strike, downloading and occasional high-end FPS and racing games apart from other general day to day activities. I got Win7 64bit installed in it.

Recently, I have started facing certain problems in this.

1. CPU fan has started making more noise.

2. Have seen the Blue Screen of Death couple of times now, though not very often.

3. Area where I rest my left palm becomes very hot and after laptop has also started to switch off due to heat up.

Please help me out, as to what can I do to get it back to its normal state.

Needs to be disassembled down to access to the fans and clean out the dust dirt...if its been a while, there is probably a layer of compacted dirt/dust around the heatsink in almost a felt like appearance...Sometimes compressed canned air directed in that area will dislodge some of the debris..if pointing the spray can at the fan, isolate the fan blade with a toothpick to keep the fan from over spinning..According to this, the user manual that came with the laptop should have disassmbly instructions..
