Replace Macbook Pro with Notebook

Thread Starter
I currently have a 2010 Macbook Pro. I want to replace it with a notebook because I hate OSX and I want to run Windows 7. What I like about my Macbook Pro is the magnetic power cord, how thin it is, and that it doesn’t weigh very much.

I’ve been looking for a notebook that is an i7, 17”, weighs about the same, and is about as thin as my Macbook Pro. I really haven’t been able to find anything that’s close to it, or I’m just missing it.

Is there anything that exists that fits the criteria? I’d pay $3,000 for it if I could find it, so price isn’t much of an issue.

Thanks,

marly

Look at the News Section for "ultrabooks" - plenty to choose from, though I doubt that you can get any real flat form notebook with 17" screen

That’s what I was afraid of. You can get a light weight 17” laptop from Apple, but it seems only a lead weight from notebook manufactures. It appears my only choice is a light weight and useless, or a lead weight and useable. sad.gif

How about running Windows in Bootcamp on the macbook? Best of both worlds? winknudge.gif
