help with power4gear

i own an ASUS K53SV. 1 month old.

 

this is the problem..

 

on startup, power4gear always pops up saying "power4gear has stopped working"

 

also, i cant find batterylife.exe in processes under task manager.

 

so i browsed some forums.. most threads saying that i should uninstall power4gear and redownload.

 

but when i uninstall... this comes out..

can someone help me on this.

Try an install over the old one - if it gives an option to repair. Or use some dedicated uninstall program that can force uninstall and clean the remnants. That requester is an odd one - my P4G expects 409.msi (233 kB) for working install/uninstall.

can you suggest an uninstall program? and are you sure i should install the newer one even tho the older one is still installed in my laptop? (even tho it doesnt work)

Might be worth trying to see what happens. I´m using Uninstall Tool; a good one is for instance Revo Uninstaller - but check what's available in the net. When I had problems, my final solution was deleting everything concerning P4G and then using a reg cleaner to remove everything concerning P4G/power4gear from the registry and then a new install succeeded.
