Hi Everyone,
I have a Lenovo question I was hoping to get some input on. I have never worked on any Lenovo product before. We are a Dell and HP shop. Well my boss dropped off a R52 on my desk that belongs to a friend of his. Now I am not going to be able to bill any time against this so I am trying to avoid tearing this thing down.
It has a charging issue. The laptop has no power. The a/c adapter is fine; I checked it with my meter. The issue presents with both the original battery and the OEM replcement they purchased. The d/c jack on the laptop is not loose at all.
My question is, does the R52 have a seperate d/c jack that can be replaced like on some HP's and Toshiba's or is it built onto the systemboard? Like I said before, I can't bill time against this so I am firmly against tearing it down just to find out it's part of the systemboard.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance for your tiem and have a wonderful day!
Respectfully,
George D.
