help with buying a laptop

Hi, I'm new and just found this forum
I'm in need of a new laptop and am a bit confused. I use it mainly to surf, download programs, videos and watching and office work. My kids sometimes play casual games, no heavy gaming.
I do want a good one though, with alot of HD space.
My question is: my budget is max 750 dollars and there are some things which I defenitely need, like a nr pad, big HDD and min i5 processor.
Now whats more important (cant seem to get both for my price)
a dedicated graphics card or a 7200 RPM HD?

i can either get a 5400RPM with dedicated graphics or 7200RPM with Intel HD 3000.

What is more important to focus on? maybe someone can help?
I need to buy soon so if someone can help asap?

Thanks!
