Got a HP DM4-3050US at a Great Deal - Question about Replacing keyboard with the Backlit one

Hey Guys, Hows it going, if you look at my posts you will see I picked up a great laptop at a great deal, Only thing that its missing is a backlit Keyboard, I searched on forums but no details.

 

Anyways I found the deal on Slickdeals and on there forums people talked about being able to swap out the keyboard for a backlit one.

 

I see the part on eBay for $50 for Genuine backlit keyboard, I was wondering if it is pretty easy to do, or requires taking the notebook apart all the way, I do not want to void my warranty, but I would like to get the backlit keyboard.

 

This model comes in versions where you can get the backlit keyboard, so the part will fit in it just perfectly fine.

In most manufacturer cases, any tampering with the product from the original condition will void the warranty...Should the unit develop problems, the laptop would have to be restored to its original condition before it is sent in...That being said, if they can determine that someone had been working on the keyboard..they could very well disallow and void your warranty...Just sayin...So, its up to you. Take the chance before the warranty expires or do this after...
