M7700 - Software/driver for WiFi button

Thread Starter

Hi all, I have an Alienware M7700 (D9T) which is running Windows 7 pretty smoothly, but for the life of me I cannot get WiFi running. I've read in other posts that for some people Windows 7 installed their WiFI automatically, but for me it didn't happen. When I look in device manager now I do not see the Wifi card, just my LAN card, and nothing is marked as 'unknown device'.   I suspect I need the software which makes the WiFi button usable (Fn-11) before Windows will even recognize it as an unknown device (then I can use the drive I have downloaded)???

Right now I cannot get the Wifi light to turn on using FN-11. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
