SSD for Acer Aspire 9503EWSMi ?

I see a few posts regarding SSD, but not anything specific to my laptop/notebook PC.

 

Has anyone attempted to install a SSD in an ACER laptop/notebook?  Did it work?  

 

One mfg (Samsung) stated it would work, but when I asked ACER support they said it wouldn't.

 

I would much rather take your word for it than a mfg that wants to sell me something (or doesn't want me to buy something).

RADAR 

We have a member here who successfully installed SSD onto an HP machine. It requires certain adapter. Take a look at the modding section of the forum
