I have Windows 7 64bit - Running AVG Free edition. I just downloaded Spybot Search and Destroy. I have not installed it yet, but I was wondering what other programs can i run that won't take up a lot of resources and will protect my PC from malicious websites and malware. I have used Spybot and Adaware, but what are your opinions?

I use only Microsoft Security Essentials on all my comps. Be careful when you are on the net is the best way to protect your system from being infected.

cheers ...

I would look into and add both Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SUPERAntispyware. these two along with AVG are all you'll need. I personally would pass on Spybot Search and Destroy since you haven't installed it yet. I heard it's outdated and doesn't really help with Microsoft's new operating systems. It was better with the older ones.
