How long have your laptop adapter lasted?

Thread Starter

I have a HP Pavilion DV 6000. The original adapter lasted about two years. Since then, I have had three adapters. Two lasted for only a couple months. One which I'm using now is RAVPower HP65A-RA, have been lasting for more than 1 year. I didn't give much expectation at first, but It hasn't shown any sign of busted. So I wonder how long it will last? And how long have your laptop adapter lasted?

All my adapters are averaging 2 years+ to 3 years. Pay attention to the power cord and electrical outlets, and keeping the adapter cool (well ventilated, on a hard surface etc ...) can stretch the adapter life a bit longer. Stick with OEM part replacements when possible.

cheers ...

Almost all of mine are originals... Look after them, don't roll the cable up so it tidy's away neat, that stretches and frays the cable between the laptop and power brick.. Also put it away when not in use....
