Hi,I got amilo pi 1536 with gpu ati  x1400 but suddenly it stoped working. So i bought ati x1600. Even if it suits perfect in the motherboard it isnt recognized from the system. I think if i will upgrade the bios to alienware versions it will recognized. What version of alienware i have to put in my laptop. 1.19, 2,07, 2.03,2.06 etc. Thanks

The only thing I can think of is the compatibility issue between the x1400 and the x1600 on this Amilo board, providing that the X1600 replacement is in working condition.

X1600:

X1400:

Mainly in the pipeline and memory type support. Ii could not find any references from different Fujitsu Amilo forums on this sad.gif

can't say for sure, they both are Type II I believe. Still, the MXM type is pretty much depending on the manufacturers requirement for their boards. You need to verify your current X1400 card and the Amilo board specification
