Lenovo sound will not work

Hello I have a Lenovo 3000 laptop The Windows XP OS was corrupted, so I reinstalled XP and all the updates
and now everything is great except for the sound.
I cannot get the sound to work!
I download all the divers from Lenovo’s site and installed them but the sound will still not work. cry.gif
If I go to “sounds and Audio device” in control panel most of the options are grayed out.

Are you using XP SP3?

Yes, I am using SP3 and I installed all the windows updates!

There is a bug in SP3 that causes the issue of blocking Audio High Definition (UAA) devices.

KB 888111 update works in SP2 and allowing user to install the audio driver afterward
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111

Search the net, there is a possibility that you would find a "hacked" "KB888111 for XP SP3"
