Win 7 and sleep mode

Hi everyone. Ive recently started to use the sleep mode on my Win 7 (w/SP1) computer. The experience has not gone well. It seems that 3 out of 5 times that I either put it into the sleep mode or wake up from sleep the computer locks up. I occasionally get a USB_BUG error BSOD, mostly going into sleep. The only remedy is to reboot the machine. I've no issues while using the computer. I've done a lot of research on the internet and have tried most of what was suggested there and on the MS website but nothing works! If I shut down normally its fine... If I shut down using sleep mode, BSOD or lock-up. Boot-up from off is normal. Wake-up from sleep mode locks the computer. As I mentioned, occasionally it works as it should going into sleep or during wake-up. The problem makes the process totally unreliable though. Has anyone here had this experience and if so were you able to correct it? Any suggestions will be appreciated. sleep.gifconfused.gif

It's a hit and miss on my current Win7 systems. More on the 64-bits version for some reason. My Sony would loop in reboot during a restart from a sleep now and then. I tried ram, hard drive, drivers and anything that I can think of, no go.

It's a Windows 7 bug to me but it is not so easy to duplicate

Thanks for the reply... It appears that its another MS mis-step that they'll ignore. I guess that with Win 8 on the horizon, they're not in a big hurry to fix any Win 7 problems... I'm tempted to go back to WinXP.

I personally would not go back to XP, Win7 does offer more in my view and covering my system needs at the moment. But yes, one can stay with any OS versions deemed to be suitable with less headache smile.gif
