What is wrong - xbox freezes on skyrim when trying opening a chest

My xbox freezes on skyrim evertime I try to open a chest. Really a bummer, because I was a lvl 40. What do you think is wrong? By the way, I have a 360 elite

On the PC this usually means the save file has gotten too "bloated". Have you been saving over the same save file over and over again? If you have, try making a brand new save file.
