I was having trouble with the Sentellic touchpad on our X101H netbook. RMA'd it, they replaced the touchpad and sent it back. They neglected to install new drivers and after some looking around though device manager I found the touchpad was now a Elantech touchpad and the standard Windows drivers had taken over from the Sentelic drivers. I uninstalled Sentelic app and drivers, and install Elan drivers (from another Asus notebook driver page as the X101/H doesn't have Elan drivers for it). Now I get all the touchpad multi gesture features etc, and the touchpad works well. BUT the Fn + f3 doesn't disable the pad right away, it says "Touchpad Disabled" on screen but it only disables if you log out and then in again. And the same goes for re-Enabling it. So my question is, how can I fix it to make it happen right away like it used to with the Sentelic pad and drivers?
I'm guessing it has to do with the hotkey or atk software. I've read some stuff on the internet about Ubuntu users changing scripts around to work with the Elan instead of Sentelic pad but no luck with Windows...
